Student Representation

Home / Managing your study / Student Representation

Students elect their own representatives to represent fellow-students; to attend university and Students’ Union boards and committees; to recognise and raise student issues at appropriate meetings; and to feed back information on actions taken to fellow students.

In addition, the University and Students’ Union in partnership appoint School Representative Coordinators each year. These are current students paid on a part-time basis to help coordinate rep activity, liaise with the School, sit on Faculty activity, and promote and enhance the role of the reps.

The Student Representation Policy explains more about the role of the Student Reps and the Student Rep Coordinators, and the structures within which they work and represent you.
