Turnitin Rubrics

The CELT team have created 3 rubrics for Foundation, Undergrad & Postgrad level assignments. These rubrics have been shared with all academic staff and can be applied to any Turnitin based assignment.

The following instructions explain how to apply a rubric to your assignment:

Step 1

Open up the assignment so that you can see the Turnitin interface, as seen below. 

Step 2

Click on the Turnitin "Settings" button.

Step 3

Click on the "Optional Settings" link and the menu will expand. 

Step 4

Scroll down and find the "Attach a rubric" setting and click on the check box.

Step 5

Click on the drop down menu, which currently says "No rubric", to see the list of rubrics available.

Step 6

Click on the rubric you would like to apply to your assignment, you should be able to choose the Generic Assessment Criteria for Foundation, Undergraduate or Postgraduate level.

Step 7

Once you have selected a rubric the option should display in the settings. 

Step 8

Scroll down to the end of the Turnitin settings and click the "Submit" button to save the changes you have made. 

The rubric is now attached to your assignment.
